The Western Reserve School of Cooking was started in 1971 by Zona Spray. From 1971 to 1997 it was known as the Zona Spray School of Cooking. Along with the school, Zona had a cookware shop called The Cookery. Zona was well known in the area for her cooking classes and her extensive knowledge in the culinary field. In 1997 she sold the school and moved to Florida where she continues to write, travel and teach. In 1997 the school name was changed to the Western Reserve School of Cooking. Since then the school has had a few owners and is now Co-Owned by Catherine St. John.
The school and store have become a Hudson institution over the years and has had many students, both professional and recreational walk through its doors. In our 37 year history we have always strived to give our students and customers the finest in culinary education and supplies.
