Bellabor Art Jewelry has collaborated with two other artists and has created Jewelry especially for this tree-themed show. The show runs through November 12, and features painting, collages, and jewelry that celebrate trees and our natural world.

November 5, 1-3 PM - Author Harry Haskell at The Learned Owl Book Shop
Author Harry Haskell will be at The Learned Owl Book Shop on Saturday, November 5th. He will be signing his new novel, Maiden Flight, a fictionalized telling of the love affair of Henry J. Haskell, Harry's father, and Katharine Wright, sister of Orville and Wilbur. The novel is based on personal letters, newspaper reports and other documents of the period, including Katharine's love letters to Henry.
November 6, 2 PM - Penguin Problems story time at The Learned Owl Book Shop
Children aged 4 - 6 are invited to join us for story time. We will be reading Penguin Problems, a story of a penguin who grumbles about all the things that go wrong in his life. With a little help, he slowly realizes that he has a lot to be happy about. We will have a photo booth for pictures, a craft and a snack. Fair Trade on Main invites you to our "Women of the Cloud Forest" Trunk Show featuring collections of beautifully handcrafted metal art, pottery, nativities, jewelry and more from the talented artisans of Nicaragua. Joining us for this special event, will be one of the owners of the Women of the Cloud Forest, Amy, along with one of the artisans from Nicaragua, Jairo. Here's a preview of what's in store for you:
* Beautifully recycled metal art created from melted down car engine blocks and scrap aluminum. Each piece is melted, poured, and polished to a high shine.

November 12, 1-3 PM - Laura Freeman at The Learned Owl Book Shop
Meet Laura Freeman, 11-year veteran reporter at Record Publishing Co. She has finished her third historical romance novel, Impending Love and Lies. The novel is set in 1862 and follows the characters from Akron to the battle of Antietam. Colleen Beecher must decide whether to risk her heart to Blake Ellsworth, who is determine to join the Union Army.
November 13, 2 PM - Nanette's Baguette story time at The Learned Owl Book Shop
Book-lovers aged 4 to 8 (and their book-loving parents) are invited to join us for story time on Sunday, November 13th. We will be reading a totally new story book by Mo Willems (of Elephant & Piggie and the Pigeon book fame) called Nanette's Baguette. This is a delightful story of a young Parisian frog on her way to buy a baguette for her mother. Needless to say, obstacles ensue, and Nanette finds it difficult to make it home with her baguette. A delightful rhyming story with Willems' signature humor, this is a book you'll want for your child or grandchild's bookshelf.
November 17, 5:30-7 PM - David Pepper at The Learned Owl Book Shop
David Pepper, Chairman of the Ohio Democratic Party, will visit the book shop with his first novel, The People's House. This story shines a light on serious weaknesses in our political infrastructure that are all too real today. Come talk with the author and get a personalized copy for your bookshelf, or that of a friend of either party!

November 26, 1-3 PM - Author-photographer Tom Wood at The Learned Owl Book Shop
Niles, Ohio native Tom Wood, author, photographer and self-professed Rustbelt Refugee, will be at The Learned Owl on Saturday, November 26th with his books, Car Bombs to Cookie Tables: The Youngstown Anthology and Trading Steel for Stone. The latter is a memoir of Wood's change from clueless Midwesterner fresh from Ohio who didn't know Gore-Tex from Tex-Mex to a rescuer for one of America's busiest mountain rescue teams.
November 30, 7 PM - Seasonal Workshop at Suburban Sit
Join us on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 7PM at Suburban Sit as Gregg Lauck, owner of The Greenhouse Florist, a Fresh Flower Market here in Hudson, leads a special seasonal workshop where participants will create their own holiday swag arrangements using fresh greens, pine cones, berries, & a bow to take home with them!
